FILLINGS & CROWNS
A filling and/or crown is a way to restore a tooth damaged by decay back to its normal function and shape. If you have a tooth that requires a filling, our dentist at Alivio will first remove the decayed tooth material, clean the affected area, and then fill the cleaned out cavity with a filling material. A filling helps prevent further decay by closing off any cracks or spaces where bacteria can enter.
We only use the best material at our office including plastic resins and porcelain. At Alivio Dental we will determined which material is best, depending on the extent of repair, where the filling is needed, and cost.
If decay or a fracture has damaged a large portion of the tooth, a crown (or “cap”) may be recommended. If the caries has reached the nerve, it may be treated through root canal therapy or through a procedure called pulp capping.

Bridges are a fixed option to replace missing teeth. Bridges use your existing teeth as pillars for

VENEERS:
A veneer is defined as a layer of material placed over a tooth, it improves the aesthetics of a smile and/or protect the tooth’s surface from damage. There are two main types of material used to fabricate a veneer: composite and dental porcelain. At Alivio dental we will carefully determine if you are a good candidate for this procedure. Good candidate are people that have structural or cosmetic issues such as: chips, cracks, gaps between teeth, minor misalignment, discoloration. For a successful treatment with venners the patient must be in a good periodontal and overall health, be committed to proper care and oral hygiene.
